8. Create a YouTube channel

With the purchase of YouTube by Google and the exponential growth of content consumption in video format, there were people who, overnight, started earning a lot of money with their video channel.

Yes, there are more and more competitors, but YouTube is the second Internet search engine, just behind Google, and it is expected that in a very short time it will become the first. That means that its economic potential is booming.

It is difficult to replace a whole salary, but if you can bring knowledge or fun to users and you have grace in front of the camera, in the medium term it is possible to generate some extra money with a YouTube channel.

How much money are we talking about?

Surely you've heard that some Youtubers bill millions of euros a year. But you can count on the fingers of the hands. For you to do your calculations, you should know that, on average, Youtube advertising pays between 0.20 and 3 euros for every 1,000 views of a video.

This figure depends on the thematic of the channel, since the contents on Forex or health are usually paid better than the channels on videogames or curiosities.

Suppose that after 18 months you manage to build a channel with 100,000 subscribers, which is not bad.

If you upload a video to the week that got 75,000 views and Youtube paid you 1 euro for every 1,000 views, your income would be approximately 300 euros per month.

As you see, you should publish videos consistently if you want to make money with YouTube, so it is not really a passive system unless they become viral or have thousands of searches a day.

Fortunately, there are also alternative ways to increase income:

Contact companies and offer to put your advertising on your videos

Sell custom merchandise, such as shirts and caps with your channel's logo (when it's popular)

    Accept donations with Patreon

If you already have stable income by some other way, betting on a Youtube channel is not going to mean too much investment and over time can give you more of a pleasant surprise.

YouTube and the video format are in full growth
There is still relatively little competition
It is hardly necessary to invest (you only need a camera and micro)

YouTube does not pay too well and it is difficult to generate decent income
You will need time to build an audience
You are subject to their policies and may end up closing the channel

9. Sell online through dropshipping

Another good way to make money online is by selling products online.

I know people who are making more than 4,000 euros per month of profit with very simple but specialized products, so if you do it well it is possible to generate a good income.

You should know that, mainly, there are two ways to sell online:

Create your own website (again, it's easier than it seems) and sell your products there

Sell your products on third-party platforms (such as Amazon)

If you do not manufacture products, do not worry. It is as simple as finding a manufacturer with little popularity, buying the product and selling it to the final public through your website or platform, adding your margin to the price.

For this reason the majority usually look for Chinese suppliers. In spite of the fact that you will have to carry out the import procedures, you will have more margin.

The main drawback is that you must perform the tasks of billing and product shipments, which can be quite work. To avoid this nuisance, it is better to look for suppliers that work by dropshipping.

The dropshipping system will allow you to convert your online store into a passive business. With it, you do not keep stock or take care of shipments, you just send the order data to the manufacturer (there are very simple automated systems) and he takes care of getting the product to the customer.

Note: there are already websites like Oberlo that put you in direct contact with manufacturers that work with dropshipping.

The profit margin is usually between 20 and 50%. The inconvenient? If the shipment does not arrive or you have to take care of a return, the clients will complain to you and you will have to resolve the issue with the manufacturer.

The keys to the success of this system are:

Find a product with more demand than offer
Achieve a serious and reliable supplier
    Have a good profit margin
Bring traffic to the web with organic positioning, Adwords or Facebook Ads

It is also possible to earn money selling your own handmade products. If this is your case, I recommend you take a look at Etsy.

Etsy is an online store where only manufactured products are sold. You can sign up and create your own store where users can buy your products.

Does not require initial investment in stock
With dropshipping you can generate income on automatic pilot
    Good profit margin
If you sell crafts, you have a lot of freedom to mark the price

For third-party products, you depend entirely on the manufacturer / distributor
It's not a quick system (unless you invest in ads)
If you succeed, short-term competitors will appear
There may be price war in very competitive markets

10. Sell courses in online platforms

If you do not like the idea of selling products online, having to search for distributors and create a website, an excellent alternative is to sell your knowledge in online platforms.

The concept is simple: you create a course in video or text on a specific topic, you upload it to platforms like Udemy, and you put a price on it.

To create the course you can record in video, record a presentation on your screen, or do it in text format (in pdf files), just as you would for your blog.

This type of platform receives thousands of daily visits from users looking for courses on a subject, so if yours covers some demand and meets the expectations of users, you can get to earn a lot of money.

Okay, but how much money can you earn?

In general, these types of courses are not usually very expensive (according to Udemy 90% of the courses that are sold have a price lower than 50 euros).

Udemy also has a calculator, the Udemy Marketplace Insights, which allows you to calculate the potential of your online course according to your topic.

For example, if you created a course on photography for beginners, this would be the potential:

As you can see, most photography courses generate just over 30 euros per month, while the most successful courses exceed 400 euros per month.

Of course, there are also instructors who generate thousands of euros per month, such as this web design course that currently sells for 10 euros and has almost 20,000 registered. These cases are a very small minority, but do the calculation of what the author has won!

If you want to build a successful course in Udemy, I recommend this strategy:

First list those topics in which you consider that you know more than the average of the population
Create an instructor account at Udemy and enter your topics in the Udemy Marketplace Insights to calculate the potential of your course
Stay with the theme where the monthly income of popular courses are higher
If also the demand is HIGH and the number of courses MEDIUM or LOW, you are facing a good opportunity

Creating a course is laborious and not many instructors reach large numbers, but if it is of quality and the evaluations are positive, little by little you will increase your billing.

You do not need to capture visits or create an audience
There is still little competition in Spanish

Most courses do not reach 100 euros per month of billing
The price of the courses is low (Udemy marks a limit)
The platform is not yours, and you can change the conditions at any time
There is less demand for Spanish courses

Not recommended systems

Internet is full of promises about systems that will make you rich in an instant, or ways of working from home that, without effort or investment, will rent you thousands of euros in a matter of days.

Learning the ins and outs of these supposed "miracles" is logically not free. Most will ask you for money in exchange for revealing your magic formula.

And that is the only truth of all: who really makes money is the one who sells you the method, which in the end never works. Or at least not in the way they promised you.

Do not fool yourself. Although making money online is perfectly possible, it is not easy.

You will have to dedicate time and effort, and ideally have an economic cushion to avoid falling into despair if things do not go as you want.

Other people will show you that they have made a lot of money online with their system. The error is that they present it to you as if you could replicate that in any other sector.

What they do not tell you is that their GREAT advantage is that they were the first, and that, however much they have done well in that market niche, that does not mean that it will work in another.

To avoid losing money, risking too much or devoting much effort to something that is going to give you crumbs, I recommend you avoid the following systems:
1. Online bets

It is estimated that only 3% of people who bet online (as in sports betting, for example) end up making money.

Of course you could be one of them, but the risk is very high: besides there have been cases where the bookmaker closes a winning account, it can end up generating a gambling addiction.

You will also find who has earned money and wants to sell you his infallible method. Besides that they take a commission when you open your account in the betting house, they are usually systems already known and prohibited by these companies.

Do not trust any method that seems too good. That's why so many betting houses give you money when you sign up: because they know that, sooner or later, they will win.

Take it as a hobby if you want, but trusting your hopes in betting is usually a bad business. It is much better to dedicate yourself to something that depends less on luck and more on your effort.
2. Answer surveys

This is another one of the great myths. It is true that you can earn money by filling out surveys, but for the amount it is not usually worth it.

They are usually paid from 20 cents to 3 euros for each completed survey, which usually requires about 20 minutes of your time.

Assume an average income of one euro per survey. If you do the calculation you will see that in an hour you could earn 3 euros. There is no unlimited offer of surveys, but assuming you could do it for 8 hours a day and 20 days a month, you would get 480 euros.

480 euros for working absolutely every non-holiday day filling out surveys? Sure you can come up with more productive and fun ways to earn money.

If you do it as a hobby, let's say for 2 hours a day, the maximum potential would be 120 euros per month. Yes, it is an extra, but it is much more profitable to devote your time to creating sources of passive income.

As if that were not enough, many of these survey websites are a fraud. And those that are not do not usually pay in money, but in the form of products, raffles or discount vouchers.

Most of the pages that recommend this system usually include affiliate links. That means they earn money if you sign up on the survey website, and that's the main reason why they recommend it.

In short: make sure it is reliable and use it as an extra income if you want, but while you are exploring options of greater potential.
3. Online poker

The more money you can provide something, the more risk it involves, and that is exactly the premise of online poker.

Yes, there is a small minority that makes money playing online, but it is not an easy life at all. Besides that you must have a good memory and ability to calculate probabilities, you will have to spend many hours in front of the computer.

As if that were not enough, the prizes tend to be much more juicy in live poker than online, which means traveling and paying huge registration fees if you want to opt for larger bags.

I personally know a couple of people who have made a lot of money playing poker. Both started online and ended up moving to face-to-face mode, although their careers did not last long and they decided to invest in other projects.

However, there are many more who have tried and ended up losing part of their savings.

My recommendation, again, is that you decide on projects where your savings are safe and luck does not play such an important role.
4. Forex

In Forex there are people earning a lot of money, but they are usually experts who have had to work for several years before seeing benefits.

The vast majority, for many "magical" systems that they use, ends up losing money.

Forex means Foreign Exchange, which basically comes to be forex trading. Theoretically, you earn money by exchanging some coins for others (like when you travel) until their value increases.

However, it is not easy at all. It takes time and enough knowledge of economics, finance and technical analysis, and still you will need a lot of coldness to not make decisions that lead to disaster.

Again, whoever really earns money is usually the one who sells "formulas" to get rich with Forex. So be wary of who makes you this kind of promises.

Forex Millionaire System

You decide, but in any case I would never play money from my savings.
